C. Lamar Powell is a certified Advanced Linguist and Master
Language Instructor from the Department of Defense's Foreign Language
Institute. He has more than 25 years experience working for the
Department of Defense as an Intelligence Officer, Russian interpreter, and translator. He has also served as the Chief of Recruiting and Marketing for a major U.S. Intelligence Agency.
His extensive world travel and foreign cultural experience has molded his soul and developed a since of kindred camaraderie with all people, of all walks of life.
Lamar
holds a degree in World Languages and Literature and is an
award-winning poet whose career has led him to all four corners of the
world. He now brings those professional and life experiences to you in literary form. He is the owner and CEO of Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises and the
Founder of The Professional Black Writer and The Black Poets Circle.
